The Special Services Department is comprised of special education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and the Child Study Team. The mission of the department is to meet the learning needs of students identified as having a disability that impacts their ability to learn.
We firmly believe all students are capable of academic success with the appropriate instruction, supports, and interventions.
As special educators, we strive to foster an environment where all students achieve and learn the necessary skills to become contributing members of society. Our students are educated in a school community where everyone belongs and is accepted. Philosophically, we believe in inclusive education to best prepare our learners for success in the future.
A Special Education Parent Advisory Group, or SEPAG is a state-mandated, district- level, parent-driven group charged with providing input to the local school district on system-level challenges in special education and related services.
Each district board of education shall ensure that a SEPAG is in place in the district to provide input to the district on issues concerning students with disabilities (N.J.A.C. 6A:14-1.2(h))
