2023 Summer P-EBT Program

2023 Summer P-EBT Program

Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT) is a federal program designed to help families with children who are eligible for free or reduced-price school meals at schools participating in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) but were unable to receive them because their school was closed or operated with reduced attendance or hours for at least five consecutive days due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

For summer 2023, a one-time standard benefit amount of $120 per eligible student will be provided to families. This amount covers the entire summer period and is issued in one lump sum. To qualify, students must have been enrolled in Kindergarten through 12th grade at a Paulsboro Public School as of the last day of school for the 2022—2023 school year.

Paulsboro Public Schools qualify as a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) district; all students receive free lunch and are deemed eligible for the 2023 Summer P-EBT program regardless of income. Paulsboro Public Schools students are not required to submit a school meal application for this program.

To ensure timely receipt of these funds, parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to confirm that their child’s most recent address on file is accurate. Please contact your child’s school if their address or guardianship has changed since the first day of school. P-EBT cards will be mailed to homes at the address on file with the school.  Cards will not be forwarded, and the District will not be able to issue replacement cards.

The deadline to notify the school of address/guardianship changes is July 1, 2023.  Proper documentation is required for changes in address or guardianship. Requests received after July 1, 2023 will not be processed.
