HESSIAN PROJECT

PAULSBORO HIGH SCHOOL

MS L. DEL ROSSI, LIBRARIAN

MRS. K. KOVALESKY, ENGLISH

Howard Fast’s book THE HESSIAN, offers a look at what it was like for regular citizens to live in the state of Connecticut during the American Revolution.  It also reveals the story of a young Hessian soldier, who is caught up in the conflict, both as a mercenary in the war and as a very young boy, friendless and far away from home.  In order to better understand this time period, you will research a specific topic that you will share with your classmates.  Mrs. Kovalesky will give you the handout with the topics and paper requirements.  Books will be available on a special cart in the library.  The sites below will be helpful in your research. Check out the general American Revolution sites before going on to those on your specific topic since they may have helpful links for you.
