The brisk temperatures did not bother the anxious Pre-K students at Billingsport Early Childhood Center as they anticipated playing on the new Pre-K playground. Friday morning at 10 a.m. the ribbon cutting ceremony was held to officially celebrate the newest playground at the school.
A bright yellow colored ribbon tied around the gate entrance was cut by Mrs. Irma Stevenson, Board of Education Member, and long-time Paulsboro resident. Principal Paul Bracciante then gave the “ok” for the students to enter the new playground. The students leaped with excitement as they began to play. Cheers, and laughs filled the air from all in attendance.
This project was fully funded through the Pre-School Expansion Grant. The playground features state of the art equipment, as well as a special rubber ground covering. From the smiles on the students faces, it was easy to see they are all impressed. This playground will entertain Pre-K students at Billingsport Early Childhood Center for many years to come.
